Sorry for yet another stocking thread - I know theres more of these than any other topic!

Anyway, I've up-sized from a 100l to a 250l tank and contemplating my stocking options.

Currently I have:

2x Angel Fish (Platinum blue and black marble)
2x Cockatoo Dwarf Cichlid (male and female)
3 BN Plecs
Approx. 20 tetra (mix of cardinal, bleeding heart and glowlight)
6 Corys

I'm looking at increasing the tank to make it a little more interesting.
My first thing is to add more female cockatoo's in there. Would you just add 1 or maybe 2/3?
If I added any Angels I think I'm more likely to get them kicking off on each other, also 2 Angels should size up quite well in there?
Are there any other Cichlids you'd think would work in here? Blue Rams? Bolivians?

Cheers,
Craig

Rams would be fine blue and/or Bolivian. I would add 2 more apistos. Personally I'd add a pair of each of the rams and call it a day.

I would up the Cockatoos to 4 so get 2 more females :) A pair of Bolivians would work nice as well but I would not get Blues, Golds or Electric Blues as they have some requirements in order to thrive and have a long healthy life - when put in community tanks they often make 18 months to 2 years (though there are some lucky exceptions) but in a proper set up they can live to 5 or 6 years.

An alternative to the Bolivians could be Cupid Cichlids, a gregarious Cichlid and a relative of Geophagus (and Rams actually) they do best in groups of 4 - though if you did this I would get just one more Cockatoo female :). You get 2 species in the hobby one is Biotodoma Cupido and the other is Biotodoma Wavernii both are really nice and not that different I think Cupido is a bit more green in their irridescance and Wavernii is more blue (though it could be the other way round)

Also when you say 20 mixed Tetras - are there any that are particularly low - ie below 6? If so I would add a few more of that one but with 20 I think your going to be within those numbers.

As a little oddball in there what about a trio or quad of Spotted Headstanders?

Thanks for the suggestions - I was planning on another 1 or 2 female Cockatoo's.

All the Tetras are have at least 6, I've just counted up and there is:
6 Bleeding Heart
6 Glowlight
6 Black Neon
12 Cardinal

So a couple more than the 20 I stated! lol

I'll take a look at the suggestions you guys have come up with and see what I think will work with me from there! Cheers :)
