Hello everyone,

Have had my tank set up a while now (see signature for fish list) and was wondering what my maximum stock could be. When I say maximum, I don't mean that I want to pack it out though. I would like to leave the fish plenty of space.

My tank is 350 liters, which according to the conversion charts is actually just over 76 UK gallons (about 92 US gallons). I would like to add the following fish to my list:

2 red honey gouramis
1 red tail black shark (possibly - as afriend's is being bullied)
1 beta
1 pleco (not sure which, but a small one under 8 inches)
10 neons

Do you think this would overstock?
EDIT - Here are some pics I posted to give you an idea

dont put a betta with gouramis!! they do not mix well

edit: trevo878 red tailed black sharks are aggressive towards their own kind and should not be kept in a group

No, you should be fine. The red tail shark may grow out of it and it also should be kept in a group.
Red tailed sharks should never be kept with members of their own species, they are intollerent of them, and similar fish, due to them being extremly territorial.

Also, watch out for aggresion between the Honey Gouramis and the Betta, they swim in the same areas of the tank and can get quite aggresive. If i were you i'd see how it goes since the tank is rather large, personally i doubt it would work, and if there are signs of aggresion, you can move the betta to another tank possibly :)

Thanks for the input everyone. I agree totally with the the RTBS being on its own as my friend has two and its being seriously bullied by the larger one. Thats why i'm having it.

Don't risk the betta with the gouramies. It will probably kill the smaller honey gouramies and you may not be there to see it or prevent it. Even a very large tank is not likely to have this combination work. They will seek each other out and kill - believe me I know.

If you want a betta, get a seperate 5 gallon or more and keep it in there with some dwarf cories.
