So my wife has decided that the live bearers are over whelming her 55 gallon and making it hard for her to enjoy it since she cannot add anything do to the overwhelming number of babys. Sooo her plan is to Remove all the females and donate them to a LFS. Take out all the fry and move them to my dempsys tank and go all male on her live bearers. Then add tetras to the tank (neons, and some kind of skirt probably need to research more.)

My question is will the male live bearers become an issue without the females around?

I can remove the platys there is only one in the tank I am attached to at all. He is a sunset platy with a crystal clear tail. He was attacked by one of my lobsters lonbg ago and lost his tail but survived and grew back a clear one. otherb then that platys are one of our biggest problems I had to bag like 30-40 medium size fry and donate them a couple weeks back.
