So I have a 72 gallon bowfront aquarium (273 liters). Its dimensions are 48" length x 16" depth x 22" height. I have plenty of driftwood (maybe even too much--20 pounds or so) and plants with a sand/rock substrate. I have a Cascade 1000 canister filter (for 100 gallons), a Marineland Penguin 200B (for 50 gallons), and an impeller (also for 50 gallons). PH is 7.0, Ammonia and Nitrites are at 0 ppm. My aquarium is well under control.

Currently in the aquarium are:

7x cherry barbs
14x corydoras catfish
1x juvenile raphael catfish (3")
1x albino bristlenose pleco
1x longfin bristlenose pleco
1x juvenile starlight bristlenose pleco (4")
2x flagtail hoplos
2x mystery snails
1x amano shrimp
3x pearl gouramis
1x African butterfly fish
1x Hara moth catfish

My question: Does this sound well stocked? Overstocked? Understocked? Could I stand to add a couple more fish?

I am currently considering adding a pair of apistogramma nijsseni, 3 or so blue wood shrimp (atyopsis gabonensis), and some more amano shrimp (maybe 5 more).

Thats a lot of bottom dwellers. My only real concern would be for the Hara as these are usually nanofish and some of the tankmates would pose a risk when they are adults.

I would recommend regular wood shrimp/bamboo shrimp. These have been much more active for me in the past. Atyopsis gabonensis has been the most expensive, never seen invert I have ever had lol. The apistos and gouramis may make a snack of shrimp depending on size.

Also whats your maintenance like?

As for catfish..... yeah you sound done. Are you going to breed the Bristlenose?

No, all three are males. A long-finned starlight bristlenose would be awesome looking, though.
So are you saying that I should not get any more fish in general? Or just catfish? Thanks for the input.

Well I would say fish in general, You sound packed for catfish and they might eventually take over. Also, Yeah Starlight Bristlenose are beautiful Plecos (and if they were long-fin  they would have to much beauty too handle). I always wanted one for my collection. If you ever get into breeding them post a thread about it. And yeah I wouldn't think about buying anymore fish for a while.

You do realise that if any of your Cherry Barbs decided to visit the water surface right in front of your African Butterfly Fish, they are "live lunch?"

ABFs have huge trapdoor mouths, easily capable of taking a streamlined fish. Tankmates with >2cm body depth should be safe.

Yeah I second that. You might want to get the barb's out. Keep it a Catfish Tank.

They are fine. I'm not worrying about it. The ABF has the entire surface of the water to himself and he hides in the huge sword fern I have. So do the barbs. I've seen the barbs swim around him and he doesn't give them a glance. I feed my ABF crickets and floating tropical fish crisps and he generally keeps to himself and doesn't bother any other fish. At the first sign of aggression towards the cherry barbs I'll take him about but I think it will be fine.
