Hello everyone,
I am aware of how limited 10 gallon tanks are in terms of the types of fish that would be able to live healthy lives in such a small tank. I am returning to college in the fall and am going to be unable to realistically keep any larger tank.
I originally planned to keep a school of 5 or 6 Zebra Danios and maybe a pair of cory cats. (Still in the process of cycling the tank)
I'm looking for other stock lists that would be able to do well in my 10 gallon.
-If possible, I'd like something along the lines of 2 gold colored fish and 1 black one.
or
-I do like Tiger Barbs (but understand 10 gallon would limit them like crazy), Bumblebee and Peacock Gobies (Would I be able to keep maybe a pair of these in a 10 gallon?), and I find Cichlids fascinating..but once again 10 gallons limits me.
-If possible, some sort of bottom dweller (I'm unsure of cory cats b/c I'm using gravel I bought from petsmart and it's not the smoothest or roundest. (Afraid of damaging their barbels).
Hopefully that's enough to kind of help understand what i'm looking for.
I really don't know what my options are! I don't really want one of those generic 10 gallon stock list tanks...but i'm afraid I might not have too much of an option lol.
Any input is greatly appreciated! Thanks!

- Not a huge fan of Tetras or most rasboras
- Not a huge fan of Bettas or guppies
