You could go with a small shoal of 6 harlequin rasboras, or 8 of any of the microrasboras.



With this increased bioload, I would recommend that you bump up either the frequency or the size of your routine water changes, if not both.

As much as I would like to add another school, I think fishprotecter's idea is better. I do 1-2 water changes a week, each consisting of 4 gallons. But how many more Pink Jewels can i add? I think 10 would be a nice number, but it would be pushing it a little.

lol there's an idea. But I kinda keep pets on a "everyon gets a buddy" basis. I have two dogs, one cat (sadly), two birds, and every fish in there is in an even number so they have friends . I'll just have to see what happens. Maybe I'll get 8, and that'll let me get another Sparkling gourami female for my harem

Personally I would not get any more Gourami in fear of two of them forming a bond and bullying the other one. I think that you would be ok upping the Tetras to 10 though
