Still Looking For A Suitable Tankmate

Right woke up this morning and the next angel was down on the sand with no eyes and completely dead, so I take it that the kribs killed it, I was going to take it back today but its too late now
The kribs are not even breeding so I dont know why they did it.
I know tiger barbs are good tankmates for kribs but what other fish could go well with 2 kribs in a 39 Gallon?
