I am not asking if BBS works for fry but does FROZEN BBS work for fry?

ummm.... from what I understand they need live food.
Correct me if I'm wrong.
Also not to be rude-but if you did all your research you would have known

You should really never use frozen or any kind of preserved food for fry since they need moving things and such so they can actually notice and take interest in the food and live food is by far better than the dry powdered food you can get that pollutes the tank's water. But I'm sure you knew that

GRRR you guys misunderstood me. I meant I did not care if you did or did not want me to spawn. Not that I did not care about any advice you guys give me!

Fry need live moving foods. BBS is sometimes too large for newly free swimming babies. You would be a very very lucky person if your LFS sells microworms. I've only every been able to order them from aquabid.

well, i'm sorry but i'm reluctant to help anyone with the "i'm going to do what I want to do whether you like it or not! and whether i know what i'm doing or not! so nyah nyah!" attitude.

I am trying my first spawn soon. With my young Betta's Penny and You Betta. But I do not want you trying to say "No stop" and "That will be bad". My mind has been made up. If you don't like my decision then I really don't care, that is your problem not mine. OK just wanted to tell you guys what I am going to do. Thankyou:)

This to me means you do not want advice so why bother posting about it you obviously haven't done your research as you are asking very basic questions!

Ok, I'm just gonna say it. You've been around since Feb. reading posts and even offering advice. You say you've done all your research. People have given you all the warnings about breeding bettas, esp. the common types you have. You've disregarded all advice you've been give, even gone against advice you've given to others! Now you've jumped into spawning these bettas and are totally unprepared, despite trying to convince everyone here that you've done all your research and know what you are doing.
I seriously doubt that your fish will spawn...actually I am HOPING that they do not spawn. You are NOT prepared. You have not done your research if you don't even have food for your fry set up...ooops, scratch that, you don't even know what the fry EAT.

they need live food, not frozen, microworms would be best, or vinegar eels. It can take days for the male to even start a nest and if you rush it you could end up with a dead fish. Would you like to end up with a dead fish? Everybodys just trying to help you, but you feel the need to tell us you don't care what we say, and then have the nerve to ask us for advice! IMO you are not prepared to do this, you obviously don't have the knowledge or supplies to carry it out properly, and you're just to thick or maybe stubborn to realize that this is something you should not be doing.

I agree with Jaded, double-trouble, and dmarie, obviously you haven't read up enough, because you have asked very basic questions-I haven't bred yet, yet I know. I think it would be best to place the fish back into their homes (with some beattafix if they've had a chance to chase each other) and try again when you know some more, and have the cultures to feed the fry.

I have to agree with the others.
You obviously have NOT read up enough to even think about breeding.
Do you have a tank (not a fish bowl) to put the fry in??
Are you prepared with multiple containers and a large tank for when the fry get big enough to sex? Because you know you're going to have to seperate every single one of those males and then you're going to need a large tank for the females.

From what I remember of your other posts, you obviously don't want to take good advice people are TRYING to give to you unless it's convenient for YOU. Not your poor fish, and not the poor fry you might end up getting.

sorry FBT girl i have tried sticking up for you but you clearly do not know what the hell you are doing. and you cant just go to your LFS and buy microworms i dont know what your thinking but please seperate your fish and research before you even try and attempt breeding. Dmarieo4 i completely agree with you!!!

I have to say I agree too. If you had researched you would know what the fry eat, you would know the male has to build the nest BEFORE the female is released.
Please just seperate the fish and research alot more about breeding.
I know its exciting and you are desperate to breed, I am desperate to breed, but I will not do it until I know that I can do it all properly. I see my males building bubble nests all the time and it makes me want to just jump right in and do it anyway but I wont as I dont have anything that I need.
What would you do if they bred successfully and there were hundreds of eggs in the nest, you went to get the food from the LFS and they dont have it, which they most likely wont. Then you are left with all these fry swimming around with no food suitable for them.
What would you do? The fry would all slowly die of starvation. And that is cruel, that is why you should split the pair and try again when you know what you are doing.
