Spray bar or not?

I have been told spray bars are not that good as they dramatically reduce the pressure of the pump. What's your opinions?

IMO I think its okay because i use them, it just reduce the pressure a bit.

Without a spray bar you end up with a single jet of water spraying into the tank. With a spray bar you have a lot of smaller jets of water spraying into the tank.

Spray bars are better for aerating the water, and also better if you have fish that prefer calmer water.

I'm not sure that I follow the logic. The same volume of water is delivered to the tank. It's just with a spray bar, the volume is dispersed over a wider area vs. a 'jet' stream. I like the spray bar and angle the output holes for the desired effect.
