I have a Eheim classic filter. I find the spray bar really noisy. I have tried all different angles but is still annoying.

Do I have to put thenspray bar or can I let the water just fall out the pipe?

Have you tried the spray bar under the water, nozzle holes pointing up towards surface of water or even at back of tank?

Its hard to bend the pipe to do that.

I have my spray bar under water with the holes pointed at an angle towards the surface. This creates surface agitation but very little noise.

You're only rotating the spray bar, so should be fairly easy...

Due to the lack of flexibility in the pipe its hard to do it :(

Not sure what you mean by spraybar being difficult to adjust.

Can you possibly show a pic of the tank and spraybar set up so can get clearer idea of what you mean.

If you use a photo sharing site such as photobucket or flicker you can use the url or direct link to who epics.
Hope that helps.

Ah, now i see your pic

Now know what you mean, you could, as KrazyKhuli says, to raise the water level to go above spray bar.

Or get some eheim elbow connectors, theres a whole variety for sale on eBay for example,

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Eheim-12mm-Elbow-Pipe-Connector-4014050-/191095512948?pt=UK_Pet_Supplies_Fish&hash=item2c7e2e1f74

So with a little research and looking online, am sure you can come up with a couple of pieces that you can connect to your spray bar to where you would like the spray bar to be.

Do note that eheim has different sizes of connectors so be sure to get correct sizes that suits your eheim pipes.

Trail and error more than anything.

Hope that helps.

Raise the water level up to cover it......
If I raise it more it would be too high. Is there any harm not having a spray bar fitted?

raising the water will help but ideally you need to get another bit of pipe long enough to take it to where you need it , try and level it out

i have these filters

you really want the spray bar as it directs the water back to the intake

plus if you don't have an air pump you need to use this to create surface agitation
