Spray Bar Ideas....

I have 2 filters, one has a spray bar covering about 2/3 of the length of my tank, which has CO2 diffused into it.

My other filter used to just end at the 'shepherds hook', but i decided to add the spray bar onto it, so it now covers the last 1/3 from the other side.

As its an eheim filter, it did not come with an end cap. So i made one with silicone. So now some water comes out the spray bar holes, and some out the end (to reduce the force out the spray bar). BUT, the force out the spray bar is still too strong and is pushing all my plants which are along the back wall down. ARG. So is there any product out there which can solve my issue? I want most the water to hit the opposite side of the glass and bounce about to the substrate, but also want some to get water hitting the surface to disturb it.

Try a piece of PVC plastic water tubing, the kind they use for freshwater plumbing. You should be able to find a bit the same diameter as your filter return and have a nice long spray tube with plenty of holes in it for water circulation. The more and larger the holes, the less vigorous the individual flows will be coming out of that spray bar.
