Spotted Gar Help!

ok so i just bought this spotted gar from my local fish store about 4 days ago.
it was the last spotted gar in the tank.
can anyone tell me whats wrong with it?
it eats fine and dose things fine but its swims around the tank with a waddle.
couldnt get a gar with a straight body cause its not gar season and none of my local fish store can order any in.
this pic its about 4-4 1/2 inch long.
i say it was a the fish store for 3 months when the 1st got them in until now and when they got them in they were around 3 1/2 inch and this one came into the fish store with its spine in that shape.
how did it get like this? defected gar that should have been culled?
right now it catches and eats guppies fine with an arched back.

look's highly deformed to me..yes should have been culled unless it was missed, but aslong as it eats and seems healthy i should be ok

An incorrect pH can twist the spine, and if the get a shock they can break their backs

it will probably die as they internal organs will be crushed by the irregular shape.

It has a broken back, small gars are very susceptible too it, what size was the tank?

right now its housed in at 10 gallon tank to make it easier for it to catch guppies but when it starts growing inches i'll move it to a bigger tank.
cant put it in a bigger tank yet as it has trouble catching guppies last night so im trying to help it out by making less room for the guppies to run away.

good news!!!
its back is starting to straighten out!!!
it just swallowed a big guppy last night and seems to be doing better.
