I'm looking to biotope a tank to my new puffers. It's a 45 Gallon Long.

Now, I know I could have posted this under oddballs, but I didn't for a reason. This will not be a "puffer" only tank. I want to do a biotope to this puffers home waters so I will need fish from there for bottom cleaners, etc...

Any help and information would be greatly appreciated.

Doesn't anybody know about where the Spotted Congo Puffer comes from and what kind of fish, plants, etc... come from there?

Suprisingly spotted Congo puffers come from the Congo river :p

Set the tank up with a sand substrate and large river rocks with Anubias and Bolbitis which can be attached to the rocks. For fish use West African Characins, Pevicachromis and small Tilapia Cichlids and Synodontis catfishes, good examples of these would be Congo tetras, Kribensis and Tilapia joka and Upsidedown catfish.
Create the natural effect of a river by placing a powerhead at one end of the tank.

congo tetras range from £2.95 fo £4.95 each around here, and I have a pair living happily with my mbu. Dont klnow anything about spotted congo puffers but if they are anything like my mbu, they will watch the tetras out of vague interest, but will wait for a nice peice of cockle rather than shred their fins :)
