I have set up a new tank recently.  For plants I have been using the prunings from my main tanks stuck in the gravel. Today I was looking at an anubia in my main tank It looks as though It may split into two pieces quite easily so I could put one half in the new tank. Is this possible without putting the plant at risk as it is my favourite plant.

There is always risk, that plant dies... Root is its nutrient-"store".

When splitting an anubius you should have a few leafs on both plants. You can use a straight edge razor and split in a diagonal cut. Both should be fine if you do this. Do NOT stuck the rhizome or roots back into the gravel!!
