I have 3 more of her siblings. The spawn seems to be going okay. the male is just under the nest occasionaly blowing a bubble or two and flaring and chasing the girl.

Before you throw in the towl wisp and try another female, iv got a suggestion or 2.
I used to have the same problems; released the female, and all the male did was chase her, totally forgot about nesting. But what iv found that works fairly well is just releasieng for for like 5 minuts at a time and then re-vaseing here. because if he can gte at her, thats all he'll try to do, with a barrier, he'll userally give up and go back to tending his nest. I may also suggest pulling out one of your other males and placeing him within view of your spawning male, once the opponent male is removed, your spawing male thinks he has "won" and will be more interested in spawning; just dont ware him down too much.
Another thing that iv found to work very well for bubble nesting is bubble wrap. Get a square peice of that out and cut it to fit beneath the cup, from below it looks very similar to a bubble nest, and will tempt the male into adding onto it with his own senthetic bubbles.

Ok the nest is huge now 
and the female is from time to time going to it, the male flares, she goes back into the plants good sign

Sounds good. Hopfully they'll spawn for you today..
Give it another half day, I find most spawns go that way...
Three phases:
he is disinterested in her other than as a meal. and she hides,
then she starts to come out inquisitively and he scares her and chases around in circles,
once he has decided her submissive, she comes out and checks out the nest, he does smaller flares and she maneuvers so it is harder for him to try and nip her.
After a few hours of that (her peeking out every 15 mins or so) they usually start mating. If you think she is hiding too long (like for hours at a time) and he is not tolerant, you can just keep repenning her for a few hours, and them releasing again, this works for me many times.

probably just keeping it in his mouth for cleaning until he gets more because its easier for them to organise it in groups of eggs so if he needs to clean etc later on it will be much easier
