Just remember to dose at 5ml per 200l of water (like standard Prime), ponds have greater surface area and so they suggest less product per volume (hope that everyone saw that important note, lol)

i think thats debatable. With my 60L tanks its very difficult to work out smaller doses...and it stinks x

I too have a 60L so I can help you.

For a 20L water change add 8 drops of prime into the new water.

In the event of an ammonia spike 20-25 drops will treat the whole tank.

Also you can overdose.

I use a pipette which measures in 0.5ml. If I want 0.25ml I just go roughly half way, although I usually overdose (I dont even measure it properly lol!), it does no harm.

It smells like any other dechlorinator smells, it's just more concentrated so the smell is more concentrated also! I'm quite willing to put up with a few seconds of bad smell for the money it's saved me.

For doses of 0.25ml you ideally need a 1ml syringe. The 1ml syringe is graduated in 0.1ml quantities.

I've seen them on ebay. Also several online pet supply stores sell them in different quanties (can think of two off by hand), as the lines WILL wear off you need more than 1.

I've found pimafix smells quite lovely and you don't even smell the prime if you open it in the same spot as an open bottle of pimafix. Works a treat for me and my nose.

0.25mL would be four drops.

1 drop = 0.05mL

I have a 10g tank and I fill the cap to the first line. Is that too much?

I buy the little bottle that has a flip top. The dosage is 2 drops per US gallon. It works great for smaller tanks. I bought the bigger bottle with a screw top and put the flip top from the little bottle onto the big one. That way I can use the same dosage!

OK, I'm getting mixed results between my two tanks. On my 26 gal tank when I test ammonia, I put in the drops and check right away. Result is yellow color and it stays yellow after 5 minutes. On my 55 gal tank I test, check the reading and it's yellow. After 5 minutes it shows my ammonia to be .25? I'm not sure I understand the don't wait or wait thing anyway. The test is for ammonia, so why does it matter to not wait the 5 minutes?
