So I Picked Up Those 3 Honey G's...................

So I picked up those 3 Honey G's...................

I kinda like them! They're very active so far & they all hang out together. They seem to be very young, only about 1.25 of an inch each. What's strange is when I first saw them 2 days ago one was much more colorful than the other two. When I bought them today they all look virually the same. In fact I think all three may be males.............I'm seriously hoping that doesn't become an issue but I have a plan if it does. I can put one in each tank.

Hope you don't mind if I muck up your thread with a ? DO your lemon tetras school much? My von rio's don't school much and I want something that does in my 75. Have to choose something by Monday...LFS is placing an order.

The Lemons school better than the Von Rios, most definetely. Obviously they're schooling for security though, since the Cherry Barbs & the Von Rios are both in larger numbers. I originally had (6) of them but one died.

I originally got the Lemon Tetras because I liked their shape, it's the perfect Tetra shape. Then I fell in love with their red eyes, which stand out because their bodies are kinda drab with a sheen.

My favorite part about thenm now is that they play Football with the bottom feeder pellets! One will pick it up & swim away across the tank while the others give chase, with the object of the game being getting a bite before another fish takes it away. All the fish play but the Lemons are the running backs...............they're the only ones that really pick it up & run with it.

I was just watching one day, while Football was on of course, and that's what it looked like they were doing I swear!

The Lemons also chase each other around but nody gets hurt.
