Snapping Turtle Questions.

hello i have a one year old common snapping turtle and fist full of questions first wen i got him he never left the water but now he is out of the water about 2 to 3 times a day wen they get older do they start leaving the water more and about how much should he be eating he is 3ins long and is a common snapping turtle and he is wild caught. so a over view of what i need to know as they get older do they start to leave the water more and how much should he be eating and a list of things i can feed him.
