Snails!

Snails don't cause any problems anyway (unless you're daft enough to add a snail killing liquid and suddenly have hundreds of dead ones decomposing). The only downside to them is that if you have huge numbers they can look unsightly, but if you're not overfeeding your fish, you won't have them in those kinds of numbers.

I agree it will have been the holiday block that's given them enough food to reproduce madly.

Pour boiling water over the veg, leave it for a few minutes and it should sink; if not stick a teaspoon (make sure it's a stainless steel one) or a piece of the lead strip you get on plants.

snails will help if you have plants that are going brown ect xD

I think I have 5 knocking about and unless they reach 10-15 I don't plan on doing anything

Any ideas on how to secure trap, and deal with the jelly pods?

So then...Trapping.

How do you get lettuce / cucumber / carrot to stay inside a sunken jar?
Par-boil it. Should work if not attach it to something heavy so it'd sink.

You don't have to use a jar though it is easier to remove the vegetable along with the snails. What you gotta do it attach your veggie to something that would be easy for you to remove it.

I make veggie kebabs and attach it to a pebble using a rubber band.

use a stone?

and for the jelly pods... either get your gravel vac on them or just take the plant out and wash under the sink

There's not a lot you can do about the eggs; they can be hidden all over the tank. If you see them take them out, otherwise you'll just have to wait for them to hatch and then catch them.

I picked out around 50 snaild today. Also found 3 tiny baby guppies.

How did you even manage to count them  I'm okay with a handful of snails but 50?! I'd be having goosebumps.

Aww baby guppies are adorable

Uh okay this sounds dumb but... what happens with the snails after you remove them? :X

Just throw them in the bin or put them in a container if you don't like the idea of the bin.

I`ve got 2 unwanted apple snails ,should i do the same with them, lol.?

I had pest snails in one of my tanks till the first hatch of baby lobsters hit... they kinda decimated the snails as they grew. Although anything else in the tank would become a snack as well so it is kinda overkill :p
