Is it true they are asexual and do not need a partner to reproduce? I have one Gold Mystery snail but don't want my tank to be over-run later. Any suggestions?

Not all snails are asexual.

Apple snails specifically need to mate to produce eggs.
So unless your snails in female and has already been fertilised then you wont have any fertile eggs laid.

Eitherways many species of apple snails lay egg sacs above the waterline which although look pretty gross. Are easily removed. :)

Awesome, thanks. I like it, it's very pretty, but I don't want a bunch of them. One is fine.
