Snails I could introduce into (soft water planted tank)

Why would you want snails in the tank?

If you really want snails, most species will live in a plant tank with soft water as long as the pH isn't too low.

To add a a little "something else" which will not add much to bio load.

Yes, looked at them, but info on net suggests they will do better in slightly harder water.

Ramshons or bladders?
They wont overbreed if yiu dont oveffeed
 
get some glass shrimp. they are cheap and live in most tanks.

what r glass shrimp are they feeder/ghost shrimp?
can they breed in FW
 
glass shrimp are ghost shrimp, just a clear shrimp

they will breed in fresh water.
