Do not ever do this, copper is a heavy metal and while very low levels are needed for plants and animals, any level sufficient to kill something is almost certain to cause issues for the fish, and maybe plants too. Safe levels for humans of copper in water (to drink) will kill many fish.
The answer to a problem is never chemicals, unless a specific medication for a disease or something.
