snail emergency, both are missing

soo i got a new snail yesterday and it is now missing, my guess is that it went under the sand as in some places it is deep. buuut my already existing golden mystery snail is gone too
what happened to my snails?!?!?? any ideas?

Mystery snails are notorious escape artists. Look around the tank, on the floor, etc.

Yep, they escape when they can...if you have HOB filters, look in them, too.

Mystery snails don't burrow, that I know of...

ok i found both of them! one was wedged between some rocks and the other was wedged in the filter

They will be there somewhere. Most snails are nocturnal and sleep in a dark spot during the day.

yes that is why i cannot find them both are in strange dark spots another question how do i remove nerite snail eggs?

Now & again i scrape my nerite eggs off the glass but most are on the bogwood so im not scraping that, Its messy

just leave the nerite eggs, they wont turn into snails.

it is on stem of Amazon Sword. yeah i only have one nerite snail and they breed in Brackish, which is possible because i have livebearers...

i think my guppies would eat the plankton or the mini snails anyway, they eat the bladder snail eggs ALL THE TIME (not annoyed, appreciate that)
