I have a friend with a tank which houses a group of endlers (he went mixed sex so we're also having to shift fry back to the LFS soon) and 5 cherry shrimp.
He put a live plant in the tank and it's brought in two types of snail. Hundreds of the standard tanslucenty amber tiny snails (ramshorns?) and a snail with a very black body and olive coloured shell that's about 4 times the size (odd pond snail?).
He's been catching them in a jar (the amber ones) and giving them to me to give to my assassin snails. He's not got assasins himself because we both vaguely remember something about assasins and shrimp being a no no and a quick google search showed wild caught assasins being very hungry for shrimp on introduction.
He'd like to keep the pond snail if possible (not a deal breaker) but would happily lose each and every one of the ramshorns.
What fish will go in this setu up to eat snails? He'd rather a single fish or pair as opposed to a shoal, would need to be shrimp and endler friendly and go in a H 37 x W 60 x D 32 cm. bowfront tank (C. 18-19USg, 60-70L)
