Small Shoaling Fish That Lime Higher Temp?

Anyone recommend a small shoaling fish that likes higher tempretures ? Between 78-80 ideally ??

I have got a group of 10 golden danios but as i have just bought 2 electric blue rams and found out they like higher end temp i think i am going to rehome them and find a more suitable shoal , since having the rams i have slowly upped the temp to 80 and the danios have gotten really hyperactive and nippy the one has even had its tail fin shredded (not sure if this is down to the rams or the danios getting nippy) but either way it wouldnt be right for me to keep them , i also have a platy do you think that would be ok she doesnt seem bothered about the temp of water tbh still feeds and very active

Thanks might seem like a silly question but do different kinds of tetras have diffrent prefrences then ?

Yes, although most tetras have a fairly overlapping temperature range. It's not a silly question. How will you know if you don't ask

It depends on where they come from originally as to what they prefer. Cardinals are the tetras that are generally recommended for the higher temperature tanks to accompany discus and blue rams which are housed at ~28-32 degrees C, so if you want to raise the temp that high for your rams then cardinals are a safe bet most fish aren't happy at that high a temperature.

Danios, on the other hand, come from waters which are much lower in temp - 20-22 degrees C I think, can't remember exact numbers off the top of my head, but you can see how the temperature requirements don't overlap at all.

Thanks again , dont know what i would have in my tank if it wasnt for this forum lol , just had a look at the cardinal tetras and theyre really nice would brighten my tank up i think ! Looks like another trip to the lfs for me
