Small Fish :)

my tank has been cycled i have had previous aquariums before... but i went from a 30 gallon to a 10 gallon... but now i regret it haha... oh well
i don't know if i should take the paradise fish back because.. they don't seem to be agressive and that they are both female

could i put a siamese fighter in?
because they don't seem agressive
they actually look very timid and ive had them for about 5 weeks xD
please help

How big did you say they were? 2"? They grow to double this size, which implies your fish are still relatively young and often young fish tend to be peaceful until they begin to mature. Do not under an circumstances mix them with a betta. Even if the will live peacfully together long term, the likelihood of them living together is MUCH MUCH higher than the chance they'd live with a betta.

Often agressive fish don't seem it until you put a fish in there that they see at a threat. To be honest male bettas don't look agressive until they're fully grown and in a tank with another male betta. Then they rip eachother to bits.

Personally I don't agree with you keeping paradise fish in there anyways. I think you should rehome them due to the fact they grow to 10cm, but aside from that you are now limiting yourself to tough sub tropical fish... and tbh I can't really think of any that would be suitable with paradise fish in that size tank.

i was goin to take them back today just because it does make it difficult for what other fish i can put with them. so i will be taking them back

would a couple of dwarf gourmis do fine with maybe a couple of little loaches ?

Honey gourami and a small school(8) of tetra's such as glowlights or pristella or as mentioned, White cloud minnows would be my choice in a ten gallon cycled aquarium.

In a 10gal I wouldn't risk a dwarf gourami as they can be territorial. But as roadmaster said a pair or single honey gourami would be nice with a small group of tetra or rasbora.

What type of colours/fish do you like? I find people tend to appreciate a 'balanced' looking tank.
