Slugs Anyone!?

i have loads of little slugs in the garden at the moment about 1" long and quite thin. i dropped a few of them in the tank and the fish went mad for them! the tetras tried to eat them but my sev loved them so much he activly tryed to get the GT's one he ended up with!

anyone else tried slugs!?
 
I have not done slugs,as mine round here are on steriods, no worry to much about them eating poisonous slug pellets,,bad move that i think....I always used to feed woodlice and spiders, daddylong legs de winged...

dewinged! why? theres no slug pellets been layed round here, tho not sure of the 'range' of a slug.... ill google it!
 
Whenever it rains we get hundreds of slugs in my area - quite disgusting seeing them all over the pathways and streets.

Never knew you could feed them to fish - only problem is I could never bring myself to actually pick one up. Eeew!

Is it only the larger fish that eat slugs? And do you put them in the tank alive? Do you wash them first to get any grit/dirt off? (eugh, now I'm making myself feel ill...LOL)

I truly believe that slugs are not the right food for YOUR fish.
