Slate Vs Marble?

I can get my hands on a piece of marble...
Do you think this would be ok to tie my riccia to?

Just wanna make sure marble will be ok in a tank...

Marble wont affect the water chemistry, as slate wont but its a lot heavier so it might be something to bear in mind.

hmmm........not so sure i thought you couldnt use marble in aquariums, when i say couldnt i dont think its recommended, i think marble is a type of limestone (dont ask me what type) and will raise the ph of the water, i think its mainly composed of calcite which basically is seashells.

I would double check before you put it in (you are double checking says you ) maybe someone else can confirm one way or the other as im not 100% certain.
