Hi,
I have just bought a marine set up from a guy, and got it really cheap. Ive set it all up, and the skimmer, (its a seaclone) is very noisy, and on the elbow joint that runs out of the tank and into the canister, it ahs sprung a leak. im not convinced by the snap fittings that are on it, and am looking at buying a new skimmer, but not sure whats best, would I be best off buying a internal skimmer, which takes away any chances of a leak at the back of the tank, and would this be quieter, because the pump on the one I have is so noisy.
The tank is a Fluval vicenza 260L, at present it is filtered with an external ( I will probably go for a sump at some point). I have 20 kg of live rock in there too.
Cheers in advance
