Simple Question

Probably has a very simple answer
When using overhead lighting with an open top tank how do you disguise your pipework which enters the tank at the back (inlet & outlet)??
And secondly in the same set up do you use glass sliders over tank for heat retention etc??

But I was thinking more of the actual pipework which comes in over rear lip of tank
