Silver Dollars

hi all just wondering i brought a couple of silver dollars yesterday there tiny about 1 inch and sooo cute !!!!

they have both got slighly nipped fins (picture below of 1 of them couldnt get a good photo of the other 1) ,they were like it when brought home nothink in my tank has done it!!!

just wondering is there anythink out there 2 help there fins grow or should i just leave them 2 let them grow back by themselves there very healthy , feeding etc etc....

I dont know if this is the general rules with Silver Dollar but my dad has eight of them, and they seem to chase eachother now and then and nip eachothers tails, Especially when food s about, So I dont think there is a real chance of them healing properlly...

I have silver dollars and like you I bought them with slightly nipped fins, I've had them now for a couple months and their fins are fin. I put stress coat in the water, its supposed to help fins heal. So yeah just give them time an their fins should grow back just fine.

they are skittish fish and much better in a shoal. I'd get a few more if you can, plus they look ace in a group

not the question that i asked but.... thanx i dint know that so i mite yeh get a couple more i have the room and i do like these fish
