Silk Plants

Can you use any silk plants in the aquarium not just ones sold for aquariums? Hope that makes sense and probably guessing not? Thanks for any advice

I use silk plants made for vivariums and they seem fine Not sure about other silk plants though...

I have used the viviarium stick on ones before and these are brill but was wondering about the green shrubbery that you can get locally (more out of curiosity than anything..unsure how the dyes would do and if they would need sealing)

try soaking any non=aquarium silk plants for a few weeks in a bucket. If they don't give off dye and colour the water and/or disintergate after that they are probably OK. Just watch out for sharp edges!

i use ones that are huge,like bouqets,hehe
Just make sure not to bend to reveal the wire under the plastic coating,used them for around five years without any issues

i found them at a carboot sale for 50p..
look at tanks<notice top left and right corners of tanks,,,also the bamboo looking leaves in middle of large tank were a pound each from wilkinsons,going back about 4-5years ago..lol
