hi all, my tank that im goin to use as my planted tank has a leak. i picked up some silicone from a glazing shop and is this goin to b ok for fixing my tank for plants and fish, the name on it is rhodorsil high performance 3t glazing -waterproofing acetoxy silicone.
Please can anyone help

Only use silicon which clearly states that it is 100% pure silicon with no added extras. Silicon intended for bathroom or glazing use will have anti fungal agents added which are poisonous to fish.
 
For aquatic use it should be high modulus silicone, with no added anti-fungal contents. High modulus is designed for total submersion in water, whereas low modulus is water resistant, as opposed to waterproof.
