Well after looking through some topics I think my gourami has an ulcer. But this ulcer is light pink and raised like a zit. He also has a drooping tail and the fins are ragged.
I had 4 dwarf gouramis in a 30 gal tank. I am down to two gouramis and would like to try and save these.

    what medicine will work?
    Thanks
    Christa

An ulcer is probably due to a bacterial infection or virus, so you should use medications that target those. However, even with medication, it might still die. You should also isolate that gourami in a quarantine tank as well.

Dwarf gouramis are very pretty and all, but you would be very lucky if any of them survives over a year. Safest bet for a healthy dwarf is to buy them from a good breeder instead of an lfs.
