Siamise Fighting Fish?

I am wonderign if i would be ok, to add a fighting fish to my tank,ive heard they wont fight with other fish as long as no other fish are the same colour as it?

is this true my tank will mainly be grouamis, pearl, blue dwarf, silver, maybe one day also some safin mollies?

Betta splenders are terratorial fish so it is best to add the other fish first. give them to 2 weeks to settle and introduce the betta into the tank in the store bg. if the betta is not agressive let it into the tank. but the tank cannot contain any types of shrimp or krill as this is part of the betta natural diet.... unless you want him to eat them

All bettas have different personalities.

While bettas can attack other fish with colourful and/or flowing fins, like guppies etc, they are just as prone to being attacked it harassed themselves, especially by barbs or tetras pecking them. They're not all aggressive, mines a pussycat. And I have had one nearly bullied to death by guppies before.

But they don't mix well with gouramis either, they're from a similar family and they can all be aggressive or territorial to each other. I'd watch the dwarf especially.

Some bettas ignore shrimp, others see them as an expensive snack. Amano shrimp grow fairly large and should be fine.

I wouldn't put a betta in that tank. I think there are too many gouramis, and they'd probably all get too territorial and fight.
If you did want one, you could set up a nice 25L nano cube and put him in there with a couple of shrimp instead?

There a male Betta Splendens in smaller at my LFS....

Yes. A single betta could live quite happily in a 25L with a couple of shrimp.
I keep mine in a 30L with 6 endlers and he's happy as can be
