Are there shrimp available that would grow big enough to keep in my 180 litre aquarium?
bamboo shrimp and cameroon shrimp are a safe bet. however even a 2 inch firemouth for example would kill and eat them, id research the fish you have first before adding shrimps of any kind, guppies, tetras, gouramis ect are usually ok, cichlids are almost certainly not, however a fully grown cameroon or bamboo can do well with some cichlids.

I haven't any fish in it yet I'm only getting started so just thought I'd ask if there wer any that would be ok in it

ohhhh in that case you have alot to learn. you can have shrimps straight away! youl need to really research cycling first and understand the nitrogen cycle.. you have loads to research

Cherry shrimp are a good start, they will survive with most small to medium community fish.

Tank needs to be well planted though, if they are happy they will breed like rabbits.
