Shrimp Tank

Hi im wanting a shrimp tank for my bedroom, it needs to be around this size if possible:
Length: 18"
Depth:12"
Height: 12"
I havent got a clue what volume that would be though ha! Any smaller than this would be acfeptable could pushcthe depth to 18" and the height is down to preference, does anyone know of any suitable and reasonably priced tanks suitable? A full setup would be preferred!
Also what substrate would be best, i like sand but ive heard cleaning can become complicated? Id like to include live rock and plants however is live rock suitable for freshwater? If so are theyre any complications? And how commited do you have to be to have live rock/live plants?

I can only tell you what I got -
A tank which is 14" long
12" high and 8" wide.

Its roughly 7.5 galls or 25 litres.

I have a colony of red cherry shrimp and a male Beta fish in it.
All are getting along fine and I keep it at approx 26C temp.

There will be lots that sort of size on ebay - it came with a heater / filter / fitted lights and hood.

Live rock is for saltwater set-ups only.

Live plants shouldn't be a problem if you stick to the hardier, low light species like Java fern or anubias. Cleaning sand is perhaps a little harder than gravel, as it's so easy to suck up. On the other hand, the dirt doesn't sink down into it like it does with gravel, so you should just be able to 'waft' your gravel cleaner over the surface enough to pick up the dirt without too much sand (and sand is cheap, especially in a tank that size, so it's no real problem topping it up occasionally.)

Cheers, how much would you you say is a good price to pay for the full setup? Roughly how many shrimps uave you got in a tank that size?are your shrimps able to breed or does the betta eat the eggs?

Thanks i think sand is the way forward for me, would the hardier plants be suited to sand? Is play sand fine to use? And as for the hardier plants do they require fertilisers or co2?
