Shrimp question...

I have a 10 gallon tank that will have 5 neon tetras (already there) and 2 rams (that I'm getting on Friday). The tank is fully stocked and yet neither of these fish are scavengers or even bottom feeders to get the food that falls. Because of how the tank is decorated, it will be a real pain to do a thorough vaccuuming job at every water change.

I was wondering if shrimp would help keep the bottom cleaner and how much bioload they'd add, whether they'd just make the problem worse or help out.
