shrimp in BlackWater?

i have a blackwater 15g and i'm wondering if i can put neocaridinia shrimp in it
i have one shrimp (hitchiker) https://www.fishforums.net/threads/shrimp-glow-up.480323/
that will probably be eaten if in the big tank
there's only some snails and a betta in the blackwater 15g

What do you use to create your blackwater?

I think as long as you don't use too much Indian Almond leaf, it should be fine.
Too much usage of Indian Almond leaf is also unhealthy for the Betta.
Make sure that your pH is not too low like below 6.5 and GH 5-8, most Cherry red shrimps will be fine.

Neocaridina shrimp water parameters, like pH, should be correct as well as constant. Water parameres like pH and TDS for other species like red cherry shrimp should be stable as well.

thanks! i might get some ghost shrimp too
i'll start conditioning him tomorrow to see if the betta will be hostile towards him

I forgot to tell you. Aggressive Betta will kill the shrimp.
Make sure you have a lot of plants and the shrimp is smart enough to avoid the Betta.
Some shrimps that are unaware of the presence of Betta will get killed.
There was once I put a divider between some shrimps and a Betta.
But the shrimp unknowingly crossed over to the Betta's area and was killed immediately.

Some info about Indian Almond leaf though I can't verify the accuracy of it.
