Shrimp hitch hiker?

So I got some new plants about a month ago and I have now noticed what would appear to be a shrimp. They’re yellow with a bronze and light yellow stripe on the back.
Can shrimp be hitch hikers? They’re not legal to legal to buy where I live. What should I do with the little guy? I only see one at the moment. Can I keep em?

Shrimp can be hitch hikers on plants. I would keep it and just not tell anyone.
