Show Discus From Uk Discus Show Today

I went to Haydock today to the UK Discus show today , not been to a show for about 20 years, the show discus of which there were about 80 in the competition were fantastic.huge fish with the most amazing colours and patterns

I only took a couple of pics but there were loads!! they hada load of wilds in the show that were beautiful

I took home 2 blue cobalts from Jake Wiley of Jakes discus and 2 leopard snakeskins,they look nice

I did matey, your camera skills on that thread were almost as good as mine!!

the sock puppets good, I don;t see too much of him,I put some pics up of him in oddballs last week he was trying to swim towards thecold water comin in the tank from a hose on water change time

You must have a good camera, i am struggling to get decent shots in broad daylight grrrrrrrr.
Any advice? I have already read the other forums btw.

Jake Wiley? Thats not Jake who had Wycombe Discus before he moved up north mid last year!?

I wonder, i think it is, if so, Jake is fantastic! He is very knowledgeable and he bought some of my discus and i bought discus from him too! He was very honest, i appreciate that.

is the blood the last one thats all reddy orange. If so they are my least favourite ha ha not a fan of them at all

How was the show?
I would have loved to have gone, but have just gotten back from a week away.

it was ok mate, not as big as I expected infact I'm not sure what I expected but I was underwhelmed

Saying that it was fine for £3 and there were some decent fish on display. I think I just expected more

No, not local - a long drive.
Was thinking of driving up and meeting some people I know who also went.
In the end, went away for the weekend. So didn't go.
Probably not a bad thing for my wallet.......
