Hi, my fish have now overgrown my tank and the decesion has come to do I

a) keep my tank but sell my big fishes (would like to keep my angel but would have to go as its getting big and really could do with more room same with my 2 dwarf gourami i've had from the start)

b) keep my tank but sell small fish and have a tank that looks empty with 2 dwarf gourami 1 angel and a pleco

or c) get the 3ft tank from my girlfriends parents and keep all my fishes

if you could give me your opinions please or other options that would be great help.
I have a tetratec ex 600 would this be big enough if i got the 3ft?
I would also need a cabinet/table if i got the 3ft not sure on cost for that?

any help would be amazing i just cant decide! thankyou!

Get the bigger tank that's not hard. If it's free take it keep the one you have and move the big fish over.

Ohhh.....Don't get rid of any fish. Two tanks are better than one.

Are you handy with tools? If so, you might want to make a stand large enough to hold the bigger tank and put a shelf underneath for the smaller one.

I think it has to be said that you are massively overstocked with all those fish in a 54liter tank. If you can get a 3ft tank go for it and your stocking should be okay for all apart from the pleco, these grow huge usually to over a foot long so they need a 6ft tank when adult. Same goes for the clown loach, these also need groups. That said from your options you should do one or three in no way shape or form do plecs, clowns or angels belong in a 10 gallon tank.

Get the bigger tank.

My boyfriend has my old tank and he didn't use the stand that came with it (lack of space really) but he's got it sitting in a chest of drawers from Ikea...they weren't that expensive and they can be used for storage and a tank base...have a look and see what other options are available.

thanks for the advice, i know how big these fish get and have a home for when the plec and clown get too big, i did always intend to upgrade but got used to my tank, it looks really empty tbh but i know they need more room asap as i've just lost a clown due to overstocking, wish I had the room for a 6ft and a group of clowns but thats something for the future.

do people think my filter will cope with th 3ft or will I have to put my internal in as well?
