Shoaling Advice Please

i had a black shark with a black angel fish and though i never caught it, i highly suspect the shark was attacking the angel. the angel had mouth marks on its side that looked like the sort of mark and size the black shark would leave. they are now in seperate tanks and the angel is in perfect condition again.

odessa barbs looks amazing.

Another nice zippy fish is the Madagascar Rainbowfish. Gorgeous patterns :hey:

Thank you for all the advice . I looked at loads of fish and finally after changing my mind quite a few times settled on congo tetras . They look lovely . I have just brought 16 of them and they shoal perfectly together .

I would be tempted to up your numbers of Gold barbs to at least 4 or 5. These guys are great and will shoal more in numbers.

I know you have already got your fish, but just a note that i havent had any issue with my RTBS and either red / black fish. I thought it was fish with similar body shape and colour you had to avoid (black / red loaches or other sharks)

Cheers Timmy bee , i might try getting a couple more gold barbs . The 2 i have are always together like an old couple .

Only had the congo tetras a day but they eat every bit of flake food that i put in before anyone else can get near it . The algae waffers , cucumbers , cockles and other vegies that go on the bottom are safe from them . But no matter how mush i spread the flake around they seem to turn in to locusts and clear the lot .
Has anyone got any tips on how to stop them because the other fish want some too .
