shipping snails

Hi,

I am going to ship some golden mystery snails across country. What's the best way to do it? I've heard it's possible to just put them in a wet cloth or should i bag them in tank water? Also, should they be shipped over night or is priority ok?

I post mine in a small tupperware with moist kitchen roll in...
put some above and below and then pad the container out with some more to stop them flapping about.

I put them in a jiffy bag (padded envelope) and posted mine first class (could be next day could be 2/3 days) and all was ok.

Always best to ship over night i think, i've had snails shipped to me like that. The person i had them off packed them as follows:
snails were wrapped in damp kitchen towel, then they were placed in an empty toilet roll tube, with cotton wool inbetween them. Then the rest of the tube was packed with cotton wool, then bubble wrap was tapped around that and put in a jiffy bag linned with bubble wrap.
They were fine.
