On aquabid they only hint at the shipping, like $5 from Thailand to the US. Then shipping from the transhipper to you, so to those who have bought a betta from Thailand what does the total shipping cost ?

Thanks,

The shipper told me the shipping was $6, but then I got it for $12, which was OK. I guess maybe it depends on how many bettas you have. He shipped it safely to the transhipper, but she disappeared for a bit, then came back so I got free express shipping. Altogether, it only costs a bit more than shipping from the US. Also, they don't just have one central place for shipping - they have locations all over the US, so shipping might be less because it's closer to you.

ok heres what i got from the transhippers i emailed-

Import fees .60 per fish
handling $2 per fish
shipping box $5 (no matter how many fish)
Express Mail delivery (a next day delivery to most ZIP codes) $30.60 for 1 fish / total $38.20 for 1 fish . .. and $3.60 for each additional fish. .. so it pays to get more than just 1, or to go in with a friend to share costs
I can offer DHL next day service for just $5 more then the total for Express Mail .. . .. ..
You can save $15 on those rates by having me send him by Priority Mail, which almost always arrives in 2 days but, since it has no guaranteed delivery date and no tracking, . . most Sellers will ask the customer to assume the risk (is no Live Delivery guarantee)

heres her site http://bellsouthpwp.net/J/e/JennViv/betttranship.htm

this is what they sent me exactly. if you have any other questions you can just get their emails off of aquabid, and get a better idea of what it would be for you.

I had linda olson too, charged me a butt-load in shipping. got the fish here, and she was nice to work with; just a bit pricey for one fish. I'd order American.
