I am thinking of starting a Tanganyikan set up. Tank is 120L.

At the moment I'm looking at

(Shell Dwellers, just one of the three species)
- Lamprologus Brevis
- Lamprologus Multifasciatus
- Lamprologus Signatus

Then I'm thinking
- Cyprichromis Nigripinnis Mupulungu
- Julidochromis Dickfeldi

And a Synodontis Petricola

Could anyone tell me if this would work?
Any information on these species would be great.
And numbers, tank requirements and so.
If not, an alternative would be nice. :)

Thanks

I got 4 dickfeldi and 7 multis living in one tank together and they seem very happy. Just remember for multis you need lots of shells. If you want to read more, have a look at the link in my signature. I was given quite a few suggestions when I planned it all, so maybe you come across something else you'd like.

Thats good to know someone with the same litre tank has this. How are they doing to this day? What's the current set up and stock like?
I never thought thought of the line of sight breaking rock so I'm glad I read your post.
Also going to wait for more replies because I don't want to overstock it. :)

4 dickfeldi and 7 multis is the current set up. It's understocked and they are doing fine. I want them to breed, but no luck so far :(

Lufbramatt is your expert in shellies, maybe have a look at his journals and posts too? Would give you some ideas. He has loads of brevis, but I couldn't get hold of them. And greggswimm. He is also into tang communities.

Alright cheers for the info. Much appreciated! :)
