Things are looking up - a stroke of luck at last. (and maybe some fish )

lol iv just put the tank on, thank god everythings working, but juwel heaters fail at life lol, mines set to 35 and the temp in the tank is 26, confirmed by no less than 4 thermomiters lol. Got no filter media in yet so the pump is going at full power and really making me need the toilet lol and noo i cant point it under the waters surface because its a juwel one and its an awkard stick that comes up from the pump at the bottom of big black box and points at 90 degrees, just above the max fill level lol, hopefully when i put the media from my other tank in tommorow all will be good.

And i mite have fish knowing my look they will see me comming and escape lol not been lucky with hunting these badboys down lol

you have been struggling to get these fish more than i did finding a pair of kribs and that took 3 lfs and at least 5 exchanges hahaha, but best of luck me post pics asap, makes for an interesting read. once u get it u will be happy

fish fish fish fish!

i just got back, i had to have the four fish but i will see how it goes, two girls two boys that were pairs in the tank. Im acclimatising them at the moment, but my juwel heater is playing up i set the thermostat to 29 but the water temp is only 24 lol, its on 32 at the moment heading for 26 degrees, ill keep a close eye on it. Im keeping it fark for them at the moment so i dont want to go flashing away with camera . ill post pics when they are in the tank!

only managed to get pictures of two, one male and female dissapered into shells, but i don't know wich ones lol

here is one of the males

and this female has been in this shell scince she left the breeders tank

im still having issues with the temp, its within the 77-79 that it should be its just finding where the dial should be set lol ill try and get more pics as and when they feel brave.

Do they stay in their shells a lot of the time?

Well at the moment yes, they have only been in for three hours or so, so there are still abit timid. I have seen all 4 out, you just have to be really still. One of the males is getting more confident and hovers over his shell, moving a little futher away every time he comes out, but the others are still timid

lol they are worth it so far and they are just sitting in their shells! Lol, like i said there is one fem that i know where she is because she has a small shell, one male and the other female i have no idea. There is just one male out at the moment, hovering above his shell. He did just go next door and poke his head inside another, but then just went to sit back ontop of his own

my lfs has them too but they didtn accept eachother as mates when i actually got a male and female, and the one place had all males and i wasnt too educated so i kept taking them back and getting more males...congrats on the fihs i like them alot, keep us posted.

Im just frustrated, i want them all to come out!! Lol this one male is getting more adventurous and the small shell thats in the pic keeps spinning around randomly lol and she pops out every so often, put only her tail lol, but i must be patient

yeah i just got 3 ocellatus and i'm almost 100% sure they're all males....so i think i'm gonna try to trade em.....maybe for some multies cause the 3 i got were the only ones they had.
