Right i got 3 comps.

A media centre for the TV (windows 7)
Main PC (XP)
Laptop (XP)

I use thunderbird as my main email cliant

Is their a way to sync the PC's so say the main PC will download and i can view them on the other?

I know i can view with out downloading and webmail. Just trying to see what else i can to stream line things.

You can hook the computers up; like a LAN line and then you can access the other computers from one.

There aren't that many options available without you either having an email server or using an external service and/or paying.
However have a look at the couple of links below, they may help to some extent:

Think I'll just stick to view with out downloading.

I know now where and the data is stored etc etc and could possibly share this data but thunderbird is limated to collateing the data from user profile anyway.

Thanks guys

I dual boot my pc and have Thunderbird setup to share the emails between computers, i guess you could do something similar if you share the correct directory.

Under Tools > Account settings, there's a path called 'Local directory'. This is where all your emails are stored. On mine, it's:
C:\Users\Tom\AppData\Roaming\Thunderbird\Profiles\1u3s20bv.default\Mail\Local Folders

If you can share the directory and get the permissions right, then I don't see why you can't put something like
\\mainpc\c$\Users\Tom\AppData\Roaming\Thunderbird\Profiles\1u3s20bv.default\Mail\Local Folders
as the path on the other 2 computers.

Thats the sort of thing i was thinking of, just not got around to it just yet.
