I didn't realize that how much Blanco had grown, or how much progress we'd made on the tank until I pulled up this older picture!

This isn't my Betta, it was in a fish shop I went to today.

I had a tank set up that he could of gone in to but I'm having a lot of fun with apistogramma again and bought a pair of macmasteri instead of him.

Lovely fish though.

Just got this guy this week, still deciding on a name. He is active, loves exploring and has already figured out the feeding ring. The first few photos are from his breeder, I took the last one.

RIP my little Boo. He passed away yesterday morning; he had been a little lethargic and didn’t eat his food the night before. He wasn’t bloated, pineconing or swimming oddly.

He wasn’t the healthiest fish, he’d arrived at the LFS with pop eye but it had made him lose that eye. I couldn’t not have him when I first saw him. I don’t know his age when we bought him but we would have had him coming up two years.

I tested the water even though the tank had been running for two years. Absolutely fine, Ammonia/nitrate/nitrite all 0 and live plants thriving.

Fish definitely have personality; Boo would flare everytime I went to feed or clean his tank, and I’d have to make sure he was facing the right way to see the floating food being put in the tank.

I miss you little buddy xx

I'm so sorry for your loss!

One of my male betta died last weekend after close to 4 years in my care. I was considering my options for his tank and I was initially thinking of something other than betta, but in the end I decided to get another group of females.

I picked up a group of 6 for £15 and I'm quite happy with them so far. I've only managed to get pictures of 4 so far. The other two are mainly white with some black flecks.
