And for constant repeating of advice ... should every advice be different every single time said?
Often times yes. Every situation varies to some degree.

And I'd appreciate strong evidence of this, like 3-5 links or so.

Well of course for the people in situations it would change, but for the more general public with more options ("Hi, I'd like a betta!) is what I'm referring to.
Fair enough, but I was referring to the hi-jacking part. Just realized I didn't mention that, but no harm.

so they post here cos they know they will get more views, more replies, more ATTENTION..... Sad if u ask me.
While that's true

I still find that a little harsh ("more ATTENTION...Sad..."), and you may see it negatively, but me personally, don't mind seeing them all the time. Hi-jacking is different (but again, I haven't seen that). And I've been through both threads, this and the photo thread, to see pics of them. Idunno how this will exactly encourage people to go over there, and if it really posed as a nuisance, or as in more negative and like a pest, admins/mods could move their thread over to the Photo and people would probably follow thinking "The thread'll get moved anyway, might as well go there."
I get what you're saying, I just see it differently.
We'll have to see how that plays out then.

I think they should get one mod on the case to move all the pics that aint even questions etc to move them to the appropriate section.
Or find a member who is willing to be a moderator to undertake this duty alone.
The OP has been here for some time, long enough to see the betta forum deteriorate further into "here's my new fish fido". Have a look at my posting history, you'll see that I don't post her often. The quality of the information here has gone way down in recent months. Sure, I still read, and I am guilty of viewing some of these "what should I call him?" threads. But how many times can you say "beautiful fish, you scored a good deal" and still stay interested? I just think that when considering the fate of a forum that I have grown to love, we should strive for quality posts and not quantity...or maybe just put the picture threads where they belong.
